Common questions

What hosting do I need?
Any hosting with PHP 8.2+, MySQL / MariaDB, and Apache mod_rewrite. Works on shared hosting (cPanel hosts like Hostinger, SiteGround, Namecheap) and VPS (DigitalOcean, Vultr, Hetzner, etc.). See the next two FAQs for feature availability per hosting type.
Shared Hosting — what should I ask my provider to enable?
Most core PDF tools work on shared hosting out of the box. For full functionality, ask your hosting provider to enable these:

Required (core tools):
• PHP 8.2+ with fileinfo, mbstring, gd extensions
• MySQL / MariaDB access
• mod_rewrite (Apache) — usually on by default

Recommended (advanced PDF processing):
• shell_exec, exec, passthru — ask provider to un-restrict these functions. Many shared hosts block them by default.
• Ghostscript installed on the server — needed for PDF text editing, compression, and PDF→image conversion.

Without shell functions / Ghostscript: basic tools (merge, split, rotate, watermark) work fine. PDF text editing and compression require Ghostscript.
VPS / Dedicated Server — what should I configure?
On a VPS you have full control. Set these up for complete functionality:

Install Ghostscript:
• Ubuntu/Debian: apt install ghostscript
• CentOS/AlmaLinux: yum install ghostscript

Enable shell functions in PHP:
If using cPanel/WHM with PHP-FPM, go to MultiPHP INI Editor → PHP-FPM Config for your domain and ensure shell_exec, exec, passthru, system are not in the disable_functions list.

PHP extensions: fileinfo, mbstring, gd, pdo_mysql, zip

With these in place, all 15+ PDF tools including text editing and compression work at full speed.
Can I rebrand and sell it as my own?
Yes. The license allows you to use it under your own brand on one domain. You can charge your customers whatever you like. You cannot resell the source code itself.
How is the code delivered?
You receive a ZIP file via email within 24 hours of payment. It includes the full source, database SQL file, .env template, and both documentation files.
Is setup difficult?
No. Upload files to your host, visit /install/, fill in database credentials and admin details, click Install — that's it. The installer writes your .env and deletes itself automatically.
Do I need to know CodeIgniter 4?
Basic PHP knowledge is enough to run it. If you want to add features or modify tools, CI4 knowledge helps — and the developer documentation explains every controller and model in detail.
What payment gateways are supported?
Razorpay (India, with INR plans) and PayPal (international). Both support monthly and yearly billing cycles. Webhook handlers for automatic subscription activation are already built in.
Can I add more tools later?
Yes. The developer documentation includes a complete step-by-step guide for adding a new PDF tool — create a controller, register 2 routes, add a view. Takes about 30 minutes.
Is there a refund policy?
